Duong Long Cham Tower
Duong Long Cham Tower, also called Thap Nga, is located 40km from Quy Nhon. It is a group of 3 towers; the central one is 36m high, and the two others are about 30m. This tower complex is one of the most beautiful in Central Vietnam and is the tallest Cham Tower in Vietnam. Although they have been damaged many times in the past, compare to other Cham towers, they still show an impressive beauty. The tower’s body is built of bricks and the corners were connected by stones with huge engraved plates that show sacred Cham Pa animals such as garuda birds, elephants, and eagles. The main fate faces east towards the east and made of 1.5m tall stones. The upper half of the tower was built by similarly large stones that overlap each other precisely, displaying the ingenuity and skill of the Cham Pa people. The wall is decorated with the carved images of monks in high-top hats, dancing and singing. The top of the towers are crowned by blooming lotuses which rise to the sky.
